Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy is a treatment that incorporates the use of smooth basalt stones, (used for their ability to retain heat), of many shapes and sizes, that are heated. The therapist uses the stones by placing them in various locations on the patients’ body. Using hot stones allows the therapist to reach deeper layers of tissue. As the stones cool, the therapist replaces it with another warm stone. The heated stones may be placed in specific places on the body including, points along the spine, in the palms of the hand or even between the toes.

                               Reiki For Animals

Animals respond very well to Reiki, and just like humans, Reiki can be used for all types of illnesses, injuries and emotional problems. Reiki can accelerate the healing process of animals, ease pain, and improve or help to continue their quality of life.

The healing principles of Reiki are the same whether you are treating
a family member, your neighbor, a complete stranger, or an animal. The Reiki
energy flows just the same in all cases. Animal anatomy is very similar to human anatomy, so you can usually judge hand positions fairly easily if you are trying to treat specific organs.

It is very unusual to encounter an animal who will not readily accept Reiki.
In addition, they usually show you by their body positions where to place
your hands; be aware of how they turn their body towards your hands. As with humans, if you find an area on an animal that seems to draw a lot of energy, spend more time on that area.

                                           Jin Shin Do

Jin Shin Do is based on the "Strange Flows," which provide a shortcut to balancing the body energy. It  is a unique synthesis of traditional Japanese acupressure techniques, classic Chinese acupressure theory, Reichian segmental theory, Taoist philosophy and Qigong exercises. This sensible therapy outlines tension points associated with common physical problems and with distressing feelings like anxiety, depression, guilt and anger. It teaches points and exercises that help release physical and emotional tensions. Best of all, it helps one learn to transform, rather than repress, painful feelings - leading to a more joyful way of life and the realization of one's full potential.

"Acupressure" refers to any technique using finger pressure on "acupoints" to reduce stress and balance the body energy. An "acupressure" method may be simple and symptomatic, or sophisticated and deeply therapeutic. Jin Shin Do covers both ends of this spectrum, for it can be used both as a self -help tool and as a professional therapeutic method. It brings about pleasurable, deep relaxation and increased awareness of both body and psyche. Jin Shin Do contrasts with acupuncture in the absence of needles, and because one individual is touched by another in a highly supportive way which evokes the feeling of being held, cradled and safe. It contrasts with Shiatsu in being a more slow & shy paced method and focusing more on deep release of muscular armoring.
